Seeing a few blackberries popping up here and there. That's a real bitterweet moment there because blackberries for me means wine, but it also signals the beginning of the end of Summer. I'm going to mix the blackberries with some Meadowsweet that I've been drying to give it some medicinal properties: meadowseet contains salysilic acid, which is basically aspirin. I find that it makes the wine bubblier too. It's a small operation, but I hope to make about 25 litres or so. I get much more milage out of my apple tree but that comes a little bit later.
