The universe is neutral, people are not. Issues rarely simple, progress rarely difficult. Thinking is deliberate.
Banter about Bitcoin and “the 64-byte transaction bug” with my (skeptical) kids and (somewhat receptive) grandkids:
I know Bitcoin seems complicated, but once you understand it’s impossible to not understand. This short video (Stacker News) should clear things up. You’re welcome!

April Fools! I only understand a little of what they’re talking about and it’s not important to understand any of it really to buy, hold or use Bitcoin.
We are still in the very early stages of Bitcoin. These are the guys debating, challenging, building infrastructure, finding where the system breaks, building security, improving UXs and hardware needed for the eventual broader use of Bitcoin. These are the guys on the front battle lines fighting (impeding) regulation, etc. It’s taxing just following them, but they’re why I’m confident about it.
You didn’t need to know everything the founding fathers dealt with to appreciate their hard work in creating the constitution—the system you still benefit from day-to-day.
There’s Bitcoin and there’s shitcoin. Yes, other digital currencies are workable and in limited use. Yes, there are other coins where money can be made, but that’s not what Bitcoin is about, it’s a totally new monetary system paradigm.
Nothing comes close and whatever the banking system comes up with, it’ll have the same problems that the monetary system has now—mainly being limitless. Traditional Finance is terrified of being replaced and is doing everything it can to stop Bitcoin from going mainstream (as they build their own systems and Bitcoin stashes!).
Bitcoin COULD possibly die (if the OGs give up on it) but it CAN’t be killed and there’s a difference.
Bitcoin is global, accessible 24/7/365, frictionless, FINITE and doesn’t require a single entity’s control and resulting fee abuse.
Stay humble, stack sats.
