Have you ever wondered if you were secretly Batman put into some sort of dream state by the mad hatter or the scarecrow or Hugo Strange or whatever where you are imagining yourself as just some ordinary guy stick in a menial existence when in reality you and all of Gotham City are in mortal peril unless you find a way to escape, but your subconscious is fighting back by reminding you of who you really are in the form of way too many movies. Much like how in The Good Place, once they learned the nature of their existence, they were unable to earn any more points, I feel like the same must apply to how people's actions once that 4chan post about returning shopping carts went viral, it is no longer a valid indicator of how well we, as a society, are able to self-govern ourselves.

I think I need to get a non-work laptop so I don't need to always go downstairs to my "office" in the basement. I've been looking a the Framework laptops and I think I want one, but I also fee like it's better to just get any old laptop at a much better price and call it a day. If you give me the options to pick and choose which components I want, I'm going to blow my budget. Does anyone have any insights on into this? Any #framework users out there? I'm looking for something powerful enough to last me a while, but it also won't be my main system for development / gaming.

When I set up my monitors in the new desk I got them swapped from how I had them before and I figured that swapping the order in `wayland.windowManager.hyprland.monitor` should have taken care of it nicely but it wasn't working so I've been dealing with control pac-maning from one side of the screen to the other for the past few days. I could figure out what is wrong with my config... or I could just swap the monitors back around. Solved.

GM It's so nice sleeping through the nights with my new bed where I was almost consistently waking up in the middle with my old one.

I almost bought a rug yesterday at Target because it was supposed to be 40% off, but when we scanned it it was coming up as full price and we weren't willing to pay that. I felt utterly dejected as if someone had pulled the rug from under us, but in actuality, we had to pull it out of our cart ourselves.

I feel sorry for my cat. Our new place has a big sliding door where she can sit and watch the birds, but there is also glass in the way preventing her from killing every last one of them.

Going from a nice dual-monitor setup down to a minimalistic single monitor is painful when using a tiling window manager. I can't wait till I can get everything properly set up again.
