What incredibly wise advice. And how sad that it has to be pointed out in such a way.

damn, this is the east coast as seen by the new #MeshCore-open map at map.meshcoreopen.org. Unlike maps promoted by some proprietary applications, this one is able to be contributed to by anybody.

hey @monostr any chance of separating replies and sub-replies out of the same thread? As an example, in the following note, I was replying to a person about the Colmi ring, but it just gets put into the post replies at the bottom instead of being a sub-reply under that person's reply.

any open source versions of things like the ora ring? I'm kind of interested in the health benefits of being able to track things like blood pressure and heart rate and stuff like that But there's no way I would use those closed source pieces of garbage
If it was some sort of wristband that sat flush against my skin, I would be okay with that as well. But I know that smartwatches don't work for me because they're bulky and I don't want to wear them when I sleep.
#AskNostr
Was listening to the @npub1trk5...28wn episode about Citizen X. I decided I would see just how far back I could get and I managed to fairly easily get back to the 1770-1790 era.
What the actual fuck?
Syncing #Monfluo to #tor nodes did a partial sync, then totally stopped pulling data before the sync was done. Changing to a different tor node did not restart the sync. However, changing to a clearnet node did.
#Monero
Sometimes you just get unlucky and end up with a god-awful #tor circuit.
not bad at all. now the monostr relay can be set to require 8 bit pow to relay

looks like @Schmidt and I had the same idea of adding PoW to #Monostr. The difference between the way they did it and the way I was going to do it was I was going to make 8-bit an absolute mandatory floor and not allow it to be turned off.
From woodser:
#Haveno v1.9.0 is tagged! 🎉
This version brings a major refresh of the user interface, plus many fixes and security improvements from community review, including findings from Kevlar and AI-assisted audits.
Highlights:
• A new startup wizard to choose your currency and Monero node, or import a wallet from its seed phrase
• 24 new payment methods, including M-Pesa, Mercado Pago, GCash, BLIK, Wero, Pago Móvil, and Vipps MobilePay
• All payment methods are now supported over the API for mobile access
• The command line client is restored, and basic screen reader support is added
• Monero is updated to v0.18.5.3 and Tor to v0.4.9.13
There is also an experimental native wallet mode, which runs wallets inside Haveno instead of through monero-wallet-rpc, so it's faster and lighter. Enable it under Settings > Preferences > "Use native wallet (experimental)". Please share feedback, since it could become the default in the future.
This update is not mandatory, but it is recommended for all users. Arbitrators must update before users. Please back up your application directory before updating.
