#Monero using #libertarian who loves computer networking, distributed systems, privacy tech, and testing beta software. I may not be a pro, but I can file an excellent bug report. Just joined the #Monero room on #Armada. I will say I was very happy to be given the option to open with my external signer application so that I could use Amber. And it did work, but it wasn't easy. The first time it didn't work, and I had to redo it.
I am now a somewhat #Rust programmer. I noticed that on #Monfluo-cli issueing "help" gave an "unknown command". So after reading a couple chapters of the rust book and trying out a few examples I found where in the code the commands were being set and added "help" and a list of the commands you could issue. #Monero
#Monfluo dev is working on a CLI wallet that is simpler than monero-wallet-cli. It's still in early days though. And here is me compiling on Termux on Android. If it's daily driver ready by the time I switch to #NuraEco and there is no GUI wallet, this might be what I end up using #Monero
Hmmm. Guess #Coinsbee is not allowed to accept #Monero in the EUSSR. I was trying to buy the gift card to purchase my groceries, and it was telling me that I was choosing a United States card, but was coming from the Netherlands as my browser. And it would not let me make a payment in Monero. But as soon as I switched the Tor circuit to show as being in the US, it worked fine.
I would so like to see a #Nostr client that requires 12 bits of PoW to show a post with a warning like "most clients do not yet do PoW as a result you feed may be totally empty" when you go to enable the featire.
Damn, with my hashrate (~5KH/s) on #P2pool i am getting rewards measured in hundreds of micronero. As an example, a recent reward was 573 micronero. #Monero
I said this before, but please do yourself a favor and do NOT own a home. Today I made the unfortunate discovery that the floor in front of an unused fireplace with a cabinet in front of it was wet underneath and has caused the wood floor to bow. I'm pretty certain that the chimney is leaking water when it rains and Now I'm going to have to spend like 4 #Monero that I really don't have to fix it This place has elevated my stress levels, and I can't see myself ever, ever doing this again. I live on a fixed income, and while I hate to do it, I'm going to ask for donations. Monero has helped somewhat, but it has not yet made up for such a long time getting poorer due to not keeping up with inflation. I feel terrible, as an adult, having to beg for money, but here I am, hat in hand. To anyone who does donate you have my eternal gratitude and please consider this my thanks since Monero is private and I cannot know who donated. My donation address is on my nostr bio, but I will also put it here. 42WimCbGoy5SVZfkr5YdwtAg9jvpxFfNXfBjM2CJAUZC9JNAKZ34hF6a35HJNXWyw1ctxhSKp4MjfgR3uT8Eneq4GCwtqTs
Can your wallet show #Monero denominations in millinero (10^-3) micronero (10^-6) nanonero (10^-9) and piconero (10^-12)? I just learned that the command line wallet can do this, but I do not know about the official GUI.
So after some work, I did manage to get the #Monero GUI running on Android. Obviously, since I want to see it on post-market OS and Ubuntu Touch, being on Android is only a step in the right direction, because it gives the chance to look at what the UI currently looks like on a phone, and it could definitely use some work. image
