#Monero using #libertarian who loves computer networking, distributed systems, privacy tech, and testing beta software. I may not be a pro, but I can file an excellent bug report. Happy #Kraken Capitulation Day. Today is the day that Kraken begins limiting #Monero deposits and withdrawals. They allow more deposits than they do withdrawals because they have sold paper Monero and don't want people to know it. Try fractional reserve banking Monero long enough, and you eventually get caught.
You know, we should really stop calling it a five fiat wrench attack. It's more like a ten fiat wrench attack now. #Monero #bitcoin image
So I was looking through the feddit.org #MeshCore community and came across an article that was a good read. One thing I learned from it is that operators have figured out that a three-tier system for repeaters txdelay is best. - backbones (mountain tops) 2 seconds - high rises / towers 1 second -home roofs / flagpoles 0.5 seconds That way the shortest repeaters fire first, and the next tier up, which would be the towers, fires next, followed by the backbone repeaters only firing if absolutely need be. The default is 0.5 seconds, so keep this in mind if you are deploying a tower or mountaintop repeater.
Oh yeah. I really like my RAK WisMesh Tag. It came with a lanyard, but I feel like that lanyard is kind of long. What I did instead is that I pulled the chain off of a pocket watch I had that stopped working and hooked that on the little space where the lanyard would go on the node and then I attached that to my belt so my node can sit in my pocket and if it ever falls out the chain will catch it. So far it looks as though I'm going to get five days of battery life with it, which is really nice because when I had the Seeed T1000-E I only got three days of battery life out of it at best. #MeshCore
I notice something about Monerospace.org, the block fill capacity does not seem to be scaled to Monero. Even with a 300 kilobyte block, which is about the maximum we get currently, the little picture of the block only shows it like halfway filled or whatever. image
Just got an update to #Bitchat that makes sharing it offline, peer-to-peer, even easier. Watching governments fail just absolutely makes my day.
For being a #Monero person, I sure do listen to a lot of #Bitcoin podcast hours. The common thread from the top four podcasts that I listen to, though, would have to be macroeconomics. Two of them are Bitcoin and macroeconomics, one is strictly macroeconomics, and the other is gold, silver, and macroeconomics. That list is also a good way of getting to know me lol image
I find it super annoying that I can't get 13 gallon trash bags on #XMRBazaar. I would buy them if somebody would just fucking offer them.
#MeshCoreOpen just got a new app update that adds multi byte paths. I also realized that I've been wrong. I thought 3-byte paths only got you 16 hops, but it turns out I was wrong and it gets you 21 hops instead. #MeshCore
I don't need one, but I would like to see somebody offer a cow on #XMRBazaar priced directly in #Monero.
