Are you prepared for the day the #internet splits?
On the clearnet you will be
1. Unable to watch porn.
2. Required to give your real name and ID in order to use social media.
3. Arrested for "mean tweets", "anti-government views", "liking subversive memes", etc
4. Only be allowed to use approved applications from Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc
On #Tor and #I2P you can still be free.
What you can do to prepare
1. Set your downlink speed to 10-15mbps to acclimatize yourself
2. Encourage app developers to host their applications on Onion and Eepsite domains. (Git repos, fdroid repos, linux distro repos, etc)
3. Run all applications that support SOCKS5 over the Tor SOCKS port (9050) (#Fdroid, #Signal, #SimpleX, #AntennaPod, etc)
4. Use bookmarks or password manager notes to have the URLs of your commonly used programs, services, and repos (#Monero, #XMRBazaar, #Pitch, #Dread, etc.)
5. Get used to text messages instead of audio or video calls. (Audio and video use UDP and generally give your real IP to either a central STUN server or the other peer. (it may be possible to force audio and video calls over TCP exclusively, but the latency would be high and therefore make the call unenjoyable.)

#Monero using #libertarian who loves computer networking, distributed systems, privacy tech, and testing beta software. I may not be a pro, but I can file a mean bug report.

You know, I don't think a blind person such as myself could even use something like a @npub1s0vt...pq6j #Passport Prime.
They don't have any kind of accessibility functionality which would be needed. And I'm not sure if they could include accessibility functionality in the OS or not, since it would add more code.
I often forget I am mining #Monero. Then when I remember I open my mining wallet and have to wait for it to sync tens of thousands of blocks. Once that is done I have a decently nice Monero balance just sitting there that i rarely touch.
I am looking at a @npub1s0vt...pq6j #Passport Prime review and it looks cool.
The only problem is that it comes with a #Bitcoin wallet, and I have absolutely no desire to have a Bitcoin wallet. I do not have any Bitcoin, nor do I want any Bitcoin. I only use #Monero.
I want to sell more items directly priced in #Monero so I am asking you, what do you want to buy? So far, my two best-selling products are tomato seeds and toothbrushes. What would you like to see? Metal folding conference chairs? Recliners? Card tables? What do you want?
I have said in the past that to decentralize our connectivity away from state control and on to mesh networks that we would have to learn to deal with more limited bandwidth. Well, after a large download over tor where the max i was able to pull was 10mbps i have limited my entire device to 15mbps on purpose. There is no option for 10 and the next one down is 5.
So i will live with a max cap of 15mbps moving forward.
Which should I do? Your opinions?
I shall soon be getting a Rak WisMesh Tag and currently have a Heltech MeshPocket 10,000 mAh that is currently set up as a #MeshCore companion. I know for a fact that there is some minimal #Meshtastic activity in my area and there is no MeshCore activity in my area at all yet.
The way I see it, I have two options:
1. Put the tag on Meshtastic and have one foot in both camps.
2. Setup the MeshPocket as a MeshCore repeater so it can auto zero hop advert once every three hours, or the equivalent of eight times per day, to let anybody passing through know that there's at least somebody here and use the tag as my companion node instead.
My personal opinion is that I like mesh core better, even though there's no activity in my area yet.

Well, i think i will be dropping my @npub1xsgy...zazx subscription since i cant pay for it in #Monero.
I like their service, and I'm willing to pay for it, but I only started paying for it because of the fact that they were going to add Monero, and now that they've dropped the notion of doing so, I'm not sticking around.

It's so much fun seeing governments fail and be so enraged about decentralized applications.
I just saw again the fact that the Indian government is trying to ban the use of #BitChat, and it just makes me laugh
Maybe one day they will realize they are completely powerless and rage quit.
#Monero vs USD

Just saw this video about someone doing #Reticulum over HF.
According to the quick answer I got, there are ISM-specific bands at 6 MHz and 13 MHz.
