Possibly a dumb #meshtastic question. What does request metadata in a node's details actually do? It doesn't appear to ask the target to take a log and send it over.

I'm really hoping that by this time tomorrow my new #Meshtastic solar tree node is up and running. Currently my reliability of getting into the mesh is like less than 10% and so I'm hoping that this will bring it way the heck up.

I have an HP dm4-1160us someone gave me and for whatever reason, it randomly locks up completely and i have to force reboot it. This makes using #RetoSwap hard since it needs to stay online. An old forum post mentioned something about this, but I've tried the suggested fix and it did not work, and the other thing he was talking about, viewing the kernel logs, I don't see anything like that so far at least. I tried 'journalctl +b -1 -p err' and 'journalctl -b -p err' and don't see anything that would seem to be significant. It looks to me as though when it freezes like that, it draws a constant load of power without deviating, so I might be able to set up an automation for my smart plug to automatically notify me if that condition occurs. But that's only mitigating the problem, not fixing it.

I run win7 and various different linuxes on my dm1-4033ef, windows runs fine, but each and every linux has frozen at some point without leaving any...

I know that's a different model, but it sounds pretty much exactly like what's going on with mine. #Linux

The fact that there are no #Meshtastic devices on #XMRBazaar priced directly in #Monero makes me incredibly sad. For that means I could not buy one from there even if I wanted to because I don't buy items not priced directly in Monero.

I see no reason you could not synchronize a #Monero node over #Reticulum both as an actual node and your wallets since the reticulum network can do 40 mbps
