If you have a Helltec MeshPocket, you may need to set your ADC override ratio to something like 4.516 to get closer to being correct on battery charge state. It's just what I've come up with after some calculations. I know it's not fully 100% accurate, but it's much closer than the defaults. #Meshtastic
It appears we may be getting a new role in #Meshtastic called CLIENT_BASE. It acts as a ROUTER for favorited nodes such as your personal T-Decks, T1000-E, MeshPocket, etc but acts as a standard CLIENT otherwise. You would put the CLIENT_BASE node in your attic, on your flagpole, or on your roof and set your personal nodes as favorites. That way a weak 3rd party CLIENT with low SNR does not take priority over your much better positioned high node. The OP in this github issue had a node on his house that wasn't getting utilized because another client in somebody else's house farther away was getting the signal weaker and rebroadcasting it first.
Well, I got the mesh pocket today. I'm currently doing the initial charge to completely full and it's taking quite a while. It looks like the maximum charge is 4.47 volts. Though I think the firmware guys are going to have to work on the battery curve of the device because it says it's plugged in even when it's not above like 4.2 volts. Once I get absolutely every electron shoved into it that it will accept, I'm going to reboot the node and do a battery drain test, which I suspect would take something like three weeks or better until it kicks the bucket. #Meshtastic
My new Heltec MeshPocket should be here either later today or tomorrow at the latest. I pulled my t1000E off its charger to start draining it for long-term storage. #meshtastic
#bitchat 1.3.0 ...brings correctly working proof of work. Upgrade now and turn it on.
You know, I wonder if it would be possible to have the NRF-52 be able to be updated with an AB partition scheme similar to Android, where you could just send the new firmware over Bluetooth to the device and reboot to the new partition in order to update it. #Meshtastic
