#Monero using #libertarian who loves computer networking, distributed systems, privacy tech, and testing beta software. I may not be a pro, but I can file a mean bug report. Claiming success when you have clearly failed is a show of being dishonest. Qubic wanted so badly to attack #Monero that since they knew they failed they did the best they could and were unable to keep the chain from ticking along.
I'm fairly certain I've mentioned before here how much I absolutely hate compiling software because I can never get it to fucking work. Well, it happened yet again. Wanted to compile bitchat-tui, but the rustup snap doesnt have the version of rust to do it and neither does apt. I really don't feel like trying to download it from the web page and install it myself. So I guess that's the end of that journey until its either compiled into a new executable by the dev or i get unlazy enough to try my hand at manually installing rust.
And this is how you know #meshtastic is not made for high bandwidth. At 20MHz of channel width you would get 875.2 kbps!. That number was obtained by taking short turbo and multiplying it by 2 in order to get 1 MHz, then taking that number and multiplying it by 20 to get the number for 20 MHz. That is a lot of error correction overhead.
Hmmmm. #meshtastic fw 2.7.4 said i could enable TLS... "Invalid MQTT config: default server address must not have a port specified" Since I gave no port number, I do not know why it's telling me this. So I submitted a bug already.
Someone should make #bitchat stickers on one side of the sticker is an apple logo with the qr below it for the app store and the other side is android logo with a qr to the permissionlesstech github. That way you could put the stickers on light poles, etc.
Brand new #meshtastic node from Rockland called the "lowmesh pocket-m" It sticks to the back of your phone, but it is not a battery bank.
