#HomeAssistant FTW. It got unusually cool for a night in May last night, and I was able to take advantage of that by using a temperature sensor in my living room to cool the common areas of the house by eight degrees without air conditioning. It takes more energy to heat this place during the winter than it does to cool it during the summer. So if I can do the exact reverse during winter and bring heat in during the day, sometimes, and warm the place up, then that would save me even more.

I just got a letter in the mail from T-Mobile and the first line asked me "Do you dread opening your next phone bill?". Actually, considering I pay my bill with #Monero, and it gets cheaper every month? No, I really don't.

A good reminder to anybody who has forgotten. There is no red, there is no blue, there is the state, and it hates you.

Hmmm. My yard is absolutely chocked full of trees, so I can't do a solar powered #Meshtastic or #MeshCore node. Somebody mentioned the idea of wind power, and I don't see anything where somebody has tried that yet. They do make little wind USB chargers, but they require a bike or a car and are just made of plastic, so wouldn't last very long. And legit wind generators put out like a kilowatt and cost like 100 FRNs

Hey @Kagi how does it feel being on the #Monero shame list?

It's so beautiful being able to pay my #CloakedWireless phone bill with #Monero. All I had to do was click Add Wallet Funds, tell them the amount I wanted, and tap Monero, and they showed me a QR code generated by #BTCPay server and I was just able to click pay in wallet. About the only rough edge I see is that for whatever reason the QR code and payment information don't go away even after a confirmation has come in. So you don't get the QR code and payment details replaced with like a checkmark or something to let you know that it's gone through.

Oh nice. The #PeerTube mobile app now supports background playback. That was a huge blocker for me personally, as I background most of my videos and just listen to the audio only. Now it just needs to remember my speed preference so that I don't constantly have to switch it from 1.0 to 1.5 or 1.75. If they add the ability to remember my preferred sort order, that would make it even better than what YouTube can currently do. Because YouTube won't let me sort by most recent, for example.

#XMRBazaar now has 4x more listings than #MoneroMarket.io ever did. 8,000 vs 2,000. Another big difference is that a lot of those listings are priced directly in #Monero and therefore are making Monero more stable.

Well, i gave mom her new #MeshCore node yesterday as an early Mother's Day gift. It's good to see another node on the mesh. Currently, we both have our nodes in off-grid repeat mode until we can either put up some infrastructure ourselves somewhere, or we see somebody put up some infrastructure.
