I dream of a day when we’re manufacturing and selling 1,000 American-made western shirts a month. It won’t change the world - but it’ll make a positive impact on some people’s lives, and in our world and community of western wear. We’re about 20% of the way there. image

Love or hate em, Palantir has gone viral recently in the apparel space for making cool gear / merch. They do “drops” almost like an apparel brand. Some of their hoodies are being resold on eBay for $200-$300. I think there’s a cool movement / opportunity for brands to make really awesome merch and products. For their own store, for employees, or for vendors as gifts. Imagine going to conference, and instead of getting a pen with some companies name on it, you get a premium 100% cotton American made western shirt, with your logo chainstitched above the pocket 😆 We recently got an opportunity to pitch UT on making them something custom American-made western shirts (we’re still waiting to hear back), but I wanted to share a few photos from the deck I made with some concepts. If anyone here is interested in some custom American made western shirts for their organization- let me know! We can make you something badass that no one else has, and no one will throw away.

This coat starts out awesome, and then you can wash it and dry it and it gets even more awesome.

This is our new Desert Chore Coat - open for pre-order today. If you’re willing to wait a couple weeks - you can reserve your size, and save $40. This beauty is cut from a 100% cotton, 10.5 oz, deadstock denim we found at one of our suppliers, that looked too cool to pass up. These are made in Arizona, and come with a lifetime guarantee. The denim is unwashed - so we make them slightly longer. If it feels big / too long, just wash it in cold water, put it through a low heat dry cycle, and it should fit perfect. Link:

New Desert Chore Coat we’re working on. Really cool dead stock fabric we found from one of our suppliers. 100% cotton, 10.5 oz, rope dyed indigo denim, the inside has almost a brushed feel. Very cool cobalt blue color that looks banging over a white tee. Cut and sewn in Arizona. If you want to secure one and get a discount, we’re opening up pre-orders this Friday at 10am!

The kind of hate I usually get on social media is stuff like this (not here on NOSTR btw). Always blows my mind. You’d think people would root for American made western wear. image

When my grandma past away a few years ago, my mom found this American flag in her closet. Idk the history behind it. It’s lightweight, feels like gauze or cotton voile, it’s stained, left / right edge is just overlocked. It feels cheap, but also so much nicer than the plastic ones you buy at Costco today. We hang it in our office for good luck. It probably doesn’t have special powers, but it might.

Seeing more and more western brands raise their prices on their western shirts (that are mfg overseas). And I love it. Giant brands, mass producing over decades in countries with low wages, have trained the market to think this is a cheap shirt. That it should cost $50-$90 retail. When it is not. It’s extremely difficult to make. Buck Mason’s pricing ($168-$198) is where a western shirt, made overseas, should start at in my opinion - and I’m glad they’re doing it 🥲
