Other than a privacy tool, tor is also useful for hosting things on the web without needing change your router settings. It works on any network including the mobile data. An example use case can be, you can remotely control your vacuum robot without a centralized cloud server.

so i have been syncing bitcoin node on my phone. it started get hot after segwit activation around ~400k block height. can't wait for taproot.
