So uh surprise, I can't sleep after the insane evening. But I think I found the most insane and ambitious music management app.
It loads your music collection with a Spotify like interface. It connects to Lidarr, soulseek, audiobookshelf, and deals with podcasts, it can connect to Spotify and grab tracks based on those lists.
I'm currently setting it up and waiting for it so scan my music library. Its kinda new so I expect bugs but if you're already running some of the Arr stack this is a great (in theory, have to test if for a while) addition to the tool set.

Holy absolute fucking shit fuck. The house right behind me fucking burned down. Our household is safe and the fire didn't spread beyond the immediate next door neighbor they got a little torched but was ultimately saved.. Very lucky. Holy shit.
So far the funnest thing about getting ready to completely try to despotify myself from music is discovering all the old music that I had hoarded away that I used to listen to regularly.
I'm definitely a bit of a digital hoarder so I have music. I've come to realize that I've saved since like high school up until now and so getting all this stuff loaded onto jellyfin and then going through and reorganizing and recategorizing it and then adding in the stuff that I've downloaded or purchased for DJing and it's interesting to see how my tastes have evolved Ever since I've been able to download and store music.
I found all the old metal and bands that I used to listen to, which some of the files desperately need updating from shitty MP3s to the old school country collection that I forgot I had to my pristine flac and wav collection for DJing and electronic music. I found a bunch of jazz I forgot I had collected when I was going through a heavy jazz phase. I forgot that I had shitloads of old school hip-hop that I used to listen to. Desperately need to update that collection as well to include a bunch of the other artists I've discovered over the years.
But yeah super fun.
Really gotta get this whole lack of sleep thing under control. I'm not exactly sure why the fuck its happening, but I feel like I've been operating on severely reduced brain capacity these last week or so.
Clients sending me emails about price updates to software they chose to use Like I can fucking do anything about it.
Going to get myself a physical notepad and try and use that more. Not for everything, but It seems like a good idea.
