#Nostr I love you but HOLY SHIT can we not tightly couple clients with specific relays? Tried damus, iris, snort, coracle and in each of them it's not easy to remove all existing relays so you can add a private relay. I've slowly (miraculously) gotten a whole friend group curious about nostr and am trying to hook them up with a private relay just for them, and they are going to give me so much shit when they try to set up their client with the relay I'm running because it's such a hassle to drop existing relays in most of these clients. I was going to say damus was the best but just now someone NOT ON MY PRIVATE RELAY liked my note! is the damus relay always on if you are using damus? Maybe we need a "clean reset" button on clients and users can start from scratch? Seriously, I love you #nostr - just feeling frustrated because I don't think I can onboard my friend group without carefully walking each of them through setting up their client 1 on 1 to use our private relay and telling them to ignore all the random shit they are going to see on global as they do it.

What are the best paid relays besides nostr.wine?

Should it be possible to run strfry or nostream on a 2gb cloud instance? Want to run one for my friends without paying 24$ a month for a 4gb instance. Any other tips for running a high quality relay on the cheap? I do want to self host. #nostr #relay @Mazin @Cameri🐦‍🔥

The difference between global and my home feed is way too small, seems I need to refresh my relays

Want to run a private relay for friends, is nostream or strfry the easiest relays to set up? I want to have full control over it, hence why I’m not using relaying.io Tried the one click railway setup for nostream and seems like current master builds but then gets errors. Probably gonna just do a manual setup of nostream or strfry… unless someone has a better suggestion? This effort will purple pill 10-15 friends who are opening up to Nostr but still highly skeptical of bitcoin

We really need easy ways to manage a bunch of Nostr keys per person on nostr so you can post on whatever you want without leaking privacy. What about an AI assistant that assigns your note to one of your keys based on topic/category so that every key only shows one dimension of you and helps you maintain your anonymity online.
