Zcash will be ten years old this October. it often has higher mcap than XMR despite virtually no usage and no DNM presence. I think it's actually never been accepted at a DNM. the price of ZEC is moreso the result of financial engineering than even the price of BTC.

immediately after the BCH split the BTC community started tolerating way more infrastructure that can be easily shut off and central points of failure. almost as if all the people who actually gave a shit about that had departed from the community. now you've got stuff that users see and touch just not working anymore because it relied on something centralized that got shut off.
