Bitcoin Zambia is a local initiative raising awareness and understanding of Bitcoin for individuals, organisations, and disadvantaged communities in Zambia. Initiated by Bitcoin for Fairness (https://bffbtc.org/) and Anita (https://primal.net/anita), the initiative also runs BitDevs Zambia (https://bitdevszambia.org/), a developer-focused community hosting Socratic Seminars, bootcamps, and meetups to grow local Bitcoin technical expertise.
At the recent @npub1j8w9...8nud Lusaka Lightning Bootcamp, we had a dev coding on just his phone. Now imagine the possibilities if he had a proper laptop. If you’ve got one sitting idle, it could empower someone building Africa’s Bitcoin future.
