As an entrepreneur responsible for the livelihood of hundreds, I often reflect on what would happen if Bitcoin’s price dropped significantly. A true leader must face reality and reflect on it. The EU is back with more attacks on our freedom. 🛑 Their 2025 MiCA and Travel Rule regulations are just another step to control and surveil our financial lives. These tools of control, disguised as “transparency,” aim to micromanage Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs), which include any exchange or platform facilitating crypto transactions. The Travel Rule forces exchanges to collect and share private data about Bitcoin users, compromising privacy and financial freedom. Here’s what you need to know: • Below €1000: You’ll need to self-declare address ownership. • Above €1000: Proof of address ownership is mandatory, either by sending a small deposit back to the exchange or signing a message with your private key. This compliance theater is not about protection—it’s surveillance. But while we live under these nonsensical rules, we can prepare and adapt with a smart approach. 1️⃣ Create a dedicated Taproot wallet for KYC transactions. Taproot wallets (bc1p addresses) provide improved efficiency, lower costs, and robust security. Use wallets like @nunchuk_io or @sparrowwallet to generate these addresses. 2️⃣ Use this wallet exclusively for withdrawals from KYC exchanges. 3️⃣ Immediately transfer funds to a separate cold storage wallet to keep your sats safe. This strategy minimizes risks, keeps your KYC Bitcoin organized, and maintains a clear separation from non-KYC funds. Looking ahead, a firmware update for @COLDCARDwallet will soon enable Taproot wallets on hardware devices, allowing fully offline security for self-custody. Until then, wallets like Nunchuk and Sparrow are reliable hot wallet options for short-term transactions. And remember: if you buy Bitcoin peer-to-peer, none of these rules apply. No one will ask you why you’re sending Bitcoin or to whom. This is the power Bitcoin gives us: financial freedom without permission. 💪 As an entrepreneur, I embrace Bitcoin in my businesses. One Bitcoin is currently worth $98,000, but you can buy as little as 1/100,000,000 of a Bitcoin. This means even your spare change—$0.10, $0.20, or $1—can be converted into Bitcoin. 1.5 years ago, I started saving with Revolut, which automatically converted my spare change (10x rounded-up amounts) into Bitcoin. I don’t know exactly how much I’ve saved in dollars, but the Bitcoin I purchased is now worth over $3,000. In the attached image, you’ll see Bitcoin’s original price in Hungarian currency (HUF): 9.5 million HUF for 1 Bitcoin. Today, that’s 39 million HUF (~$98,000). My first $0.30 purchase? It’s now worth $1! #Bitcoin

Did they predict the future in 1996? In 1996, an American magazine predicted what prices would look like 30 years later, and they were remarkably accurate. Meanwhile, in 1994 Hungary, the most advanced mobile phones cost 78,000 HUF, while the average salary was around 22,000 HUF. Today, top-tier phones cost 600,000-800,000 HUF, and the skilled worker minimum wage is roughly ten times higher than the 1994 average salary. On the surface, it seems we’re still working the same amount to afford the latest phones. But what’s the problem? The problem is inflation. Over time, money loses its value. If you saved some money in 1996 to give to your grandchildren for their wedding, today that money would only be worth a fraction—about one-tenth. Good money doesn’t just balance out immediate exchange rates; it must also retain value over time. Gold did this fairly well for thousands of years because it’s inherently scarce and costly to mine. It doesn’t corrode, even in salty seawater, and doesn’t erode when exposed to air. Its physical properties make it durable, while its scarcity ensures its value. The need for harder money Imagine your daily wage is five scoops of ice cream. 🍦 You can either enjoy it immediately or exchange it for something more durable. But if you want to pass on value to your children or save for future needs, you’d have to keep trading it for something harder. The problem with fiat money is that it forces you to do this repeatedly. You must work for your money once, and then work again to convert it into something that won’t lose its value over time. #Bitcoin solves this problem by being the hardest money ever created. Why #Bitcoin? Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million coins. It’s a perfect digital monetary tool, fulfilling all three functions of money: • 🟢 Transactional: It can be used for global payments. • 🔵 Unit of account: It measures value reliably. • 🟠 Store of value: Immune to inflation, it maintains purchasing power over time. Bitcoin is indestructible. Since it exists as digital data stored and audited by hundreds of thousands of independent nodes worldwide 24/7, it cannot be destroyed by environmental forces. This makes it an unshakable foundation for a modern monetary system. The real sustainability issue We often hear that sustainability is about producing goods with lower CO₂ emissions. But real environmental protection is about not producing things we don’t need in the first place. 🌍 Because fiat money loses value, people are forced to store their wealth in physical assets like real estate. But do we really need a tenth investment property just to protect against inflation? The production and maintenance of these assets come at a massive environmental cost. #Bitcoin provides a sustainable solution: it allows wealth to be stored digitally without the need for resource-intensive assets, paving the way for a more sustainable future. 🌱 #Inflation #Money #Sustainability
