I just blocked twitter, YouTube, chess.com, and a solitaire website I like from the web browser on my work computer. Let’s see if my productivity increases or if I find other ways to waste time.

Get up when your alarm goes off, stick to your plan for the morning, start the day with a win

Whenever I track my working hours it seems to increase my productivity, but it never sticks. Next week I’m going to try tracking my wasting time hours. I wonder if it will either have a greater increase on my productivity or be more sticky than tracking working hours.

#asknostr - I recently drained my Phoenix wallet to a Mutiny browser wallet. I was my first time using @OpenSecret and I connected the wallet to my Nostr private key. Since I was at my shop, I decided to wait until I got home to write down my seed words. I assumed when I logged back in with my Nostr key it would load the same wallet, so I closed my browser. Did I lose my funds???

I imagine a future where a significant percentage of families will have a family compound that stays in the family for generations and everyone knows this belongs to the whole family and we’re never selling and that way everyone in the family will have a place to stay during hard times if needed, and everyone can keep that as their government address so the government doesn’t know where they really live.

Could you commit to doing something every day for a decade for a 95% chance of a big payoff at the end of that decade? What about a 80% chance?

People lie, but results tell the truth. Which means we should listen to what the results are saying, and take action on what we learn from that. #business

In the movie Coach Carter the one dude was like “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate…” Well mine is

Business owners and sales people: good leads WANT YOU TO FOLLOW UP. I work with a lot of residential contractors and most of them see uninvited follow ups as being rude or pushy, and that mindset prevents them from closing sales. This was an interaction I had this morning (Wednesday). image

The concept of “under-promise and over-deliver” is a valuable skill. I have caught myself over-promising on many occasions in the past. I will get better at this.

Learn to trust your gut. If something feels off, do not move forward. Put in the effort to make sure what you're about to do is right and the best you can do. If you move forward on something and it turns out wrong, the pain and effort to fix it will be 100x worse than the initial effort it would have taken to get it right the first time.
