What a beautiful morning it has been! The flowers adorn our land and the soil gifts us bounties. We harvested our potatoes today. Three months ago, we planted about 15 potatoes and now we got about 15 kilos back. Our neighbours are not impressed (😅) as they produce enough for the whole year. But we are ecstatic. This year is a trial for us, a year to see what mistakes we make and how we can do better next season. #foodstr #gardening #growyourownfood #homestead

The main reason I learned how to make cold process soap was for our homestead. We want to use the grey water from our home to go the garden so we needed products that were not only biodegradable but also biocompatible. For the last three months, our grey water has fed the garden and the garden has loved it. We were out of our cleaning soaps so this is the first batch weade here. Now it needs to cure for a month and we have our own multipurpose cleaning and washing soap again.
