Prison is an embarrassingly stupid answer to humanityβ€˜s problems. Obviously. And I am embarrassed of not offering a better alternative. Free U(lbricht)S(nowden)A(ssange)
You are not too late, ever. There is a path for any combination of [knowledge level, age group, available time, and goal]. It is worth spending the time on plotting a realistic journey. #bitcoin #life
The "suites" (@ODELL) are trying to stop us. Take it easy; there is a lot of "meantime". Perhaps I lived half of my (59 years!) life in the fucking "meantime". This is where the truly important stuff happens. Happy Meantime, @TheNostrFriends.
(am I abusing nostr? is this part of nostr? - I'd bet on no 2) @tonyaldon - your lnroom.live exercises are totally amazing. Bravo!! It is niche-y, I get it ... but long-term... invaluable! - in the RUST lnroom #19 I get the following error: "lightning@mlbb4:~/myplugin$ cargo build Compiling myplugin v0.1.0 (/home/lightning/myplugin) error[E0432]: unresolved import `cln_rpc::model::GetinfoRequest` --> src/main.rs:1:15 | 1 | use cln_rpc::{model::GetinfoRequest, ClnRpc, Request, Response}; | ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ no `GetinfoRequest` in `model` | = help: consider importing this struct instead: cln_rpc::model::requests::GetinfoRequest For more information about this error, try `rustc --explain E0432`. error: could not compile `myplugin` (bin "myplugin") due to previous error"
FIAT is still money, but it is dead money. #Bitcoin is alive and so are the people hodling it.
GM - I like the blockclock with all figures showing. Clear all the way through $ 1M-1 without losing the denominator. image
donation page (not offering Bitcoin/Lightning as payment option): "Would you like to cover the transaction fees?" me: nope
I like the Nokia 9500 a lot. First, everybody thought this was unnecessarily bulky and heavy for the functionality; until you opened it up that was.
There is a lot of talk about re-using heat of miners to keep us warm in winter or have a nice jacuzzi all year round. I love Bitcoin and I dedicate my resources to make it succeed. But I don't get it how heating homes has anything to do with mining Bitcoin. Yes, true it is a 1% benefit, alright. What we call "proff of work" could be called "proof of cost". As a participant in the network I want to see that miners are under water before earning the block reward and the fees (100 blocks later). I want to see proof they go broke if they don't play by the rules and hence don't earn the rewards. Imagine a scenario where the secondary uses ( like heating homes, jacuzzis, whatever) is fully justifying the electricity bill. Miners would be above water prior to the "Bitcoin thing". What would stop them from trying to cheat and build blocks with double-spends?
I found that there are no shortcuts. The more my life depends on stuff I don't understand, the less I feel at ease. For me, it was and is worth to spend the time to dig deep; sometimes, I return from my studies as a different person, most often as a happier.
