"If the Democrats are serious about getting back to some of their roots as the party of working class people [...], they will find Bitcoin is an incredible tool to that end. With Bitcoin there is no barrier to ownership, no middleman, no broker or bank you must use or be “accredited” by." @Trey take on the recent elections, full article here:

Search in Nostr is still pretty lame. I primarily use @primal, and most of the search results I get are from imported Mastodon accounts and imported RSS feeds. These accounts only post impersonal content with little opportunity for interaction. Is there any good Nostr client out there (web and/or Android) that allows me to filter search results? (e.g. only from my extended network, only in a certain language, ...)

My friend @npub1veg8...e3p6 directed me to this 2017 ACM paper that reconstructs the academic foundations Sathoshi Nakamoto used to develop the Bitcoin protocol. Even for non-experts, the article is incredibly accessible and fascinating, while being a worthwhile read for experts and long-time bitcoiners as well. The paper also jogged my memory. It mentioned Guardtime, and I recalled writing to CEO Mike Gault in 2008 after seeing a Merkle root inside an ad on the front page of the Financial Times. I was quite excited by this simple yet powerful concept that I wanted a job there. Link to the ACM paper: https://queue.acm.org/detail.cfm?id=3136559 image
