One thing I always can’t stop thinking about is fiat architecture and urban planning. Planning in general seems to be about, how can you fit as much function and aesthetics as possible, with tiny spaces and low quality materials. Not only is the cost of real estate ownership getting astronomically high, the quality of these estates is shamelessly horrendous which is the result of bad money.
Urban planning is a whole other beast where it seems like North America has taken the lead on this and Europe somehow smartened up and changed
Coarse. Single family home zoning is a literal cancer that has plagued these cities and most people in North America don’t even know it’s a problem. The idea that I NEED a car to survive is criminal. Cities were not only specifically designed this way, but purposefully demolished to create dystopian suburban cities, which is sad.
Can’t afford a car? No problem here is a car loan! Btw if your gonna drive you need a driver’s license and insurance.
The economic drawback is basically Keynesian 101. Existing Roads need to be maintained every few years so crazy amount of debt is issued, increasing the money supply, forget about the new roads that are being built. Physical and mental health issues takes a toll. It’s crazy how theres almost no positive outlook to this.
Here’s a crazy observation, cars are appreciating. That’s how bad the dollar is.
An asset averaging 30k+ clicks with crazy wear and tear is “increasing in value” forget about food prices and houses. This financial crisis is wild!
I remember when the word “woke” was first being used back in the day. It was term African Americans (hate to use the word black) used for people who were aware of things and not just listening to mainstream media: “Woke” meaning awake from the matrix. Somehow the word got bastardized so much, that it starting to mean the exact opposite. Such a shame, if the clock got turned back, bitcoiners would have been considered “woke”.
This song really hit different when you think about Palestine. Especially the lyrics: “Then, I go to my brother
And I say, "Brother, help me, please"
But he winds up knockin' me
Back down on my knees, oh”
I always tend to think of intelligence because it seems quite broad of a spectrum, but if I condense it into 1 simple indicator, I realize that it really comes down to brutal honesty. The more honest you are, the more intelligent you either are or could potentially be.
I think there needs to be more awareness of bitcoin wallet scams when bitcoin beginners are being on-boarded or even in tutorials. For example, everytime sparrow is mentioned, it should be noted in all caps: DESKTOP ONLY!! There is no mobile app at all!! Too many out here gets scammed.
