I own two of these: and to date the best I have managed is a bunch of DSA key caps, clear ones, which have been engraved with legends. One I spraypainted over black, the other is clear. Of course, this kind of DIY labeling is hard to read and kinda crappy. I totally forgot since I was in Bulgaria at the time and for whatever reason, finding relegendable keycaps was a huge pain even in EU member Bulgaria, partly because the main sources for relegendable keys were in UK and USA, and importing stuff in bulgaria, until recently, and still anywhere in former yugoslavia, is a nightmare of delays, stupid customs rules and outrageous fees. Put it this way, I did it twice about 6 years ago in bulgaria, and the tax was more than the item and shipping. But just casually searching after someone posted up one of those keyboards that is basically like the top panel of a laptop, mentioning mech keyboards, and I was reminded again of relegendables and so I looked, and found the same supplier that I would have ordered from before in either Bulgaria OR Bosnia but they couldn't ship them to me. Nicely confusing link, as there is another type they sell that are in a 5 pack, but you see in the text: Relegendable Plastic Keycaps for MX Compatible Switches - 10 pack THE PI HUT SKU: ADA5039 And by the way, outside of the USA, this is the only place you can find these things. You'd think that since custom programming your mech keyboard would need you to have labels so you can learn how to use the layout, but, in a stunning display of the stupidity of most humans, we see that this is almost impossible anywhere they don't speak english. The other sweet thing about these keys is they are thinner even than the lowest profile DSA. There is another key profile for MX keys that is similar to this, possibly a little flatter, but they aren't relegendable. I don't even need to use a printer to label these, really, just scissors and a decent marker and some adequate quality paper. I can see I'm going to be playing with the QMK configurator quite a bit in the near future with this. There's a few small changes I'd like to make to the layout, most especially it's gonna be awesome to have the QWERTY labels visible for my gaming layout. It was just a very big time sink getting these keyboards right that I am reluctant to spend the time on it again for such a shitty result. The other thing I am super excited about is being able to program in MIDI keys. I have a smaller, crappier ortholinear, 5 rows, but only 12 columns, rather than the extra 3 on this Idobao ID75 (it's an OLKB preonic), but I didn't get cherry silver for them so they are heavy for my silver-accustomed fingers. I'm especially looking forward to a keyboard with no corners on the keys. After you sit down and write over 10k words in a day (a typical day for me), your fingertips literally are a little sore, and cos I can't rip myself away from this computer thing, it's my income source, it was also part of my motivation for ditching the phone. firstly, I'm sure that constant exposure to microwave radiation is going to cause some sort of problem in my fingers circulation, especially if it's high frequency millimetre waves, like the 5g phone that I'm liquidating tomorrow, and that makes things even worse. In fact, I'm almost certain that microwaves are a big part of what is causing fluid retention and pain in my hands when I am exercising that makes me feel like I need to constantly move them around to try and shake that garbage out. I'm pretty sure there is something in energy drinks also that is adding to this. I'm not so keen on doing purchases online with my xapo account though. Forces me to open up my phone and turn it on. I am not using the physical card to pay online though, if that gets stolen it could be a big problem for me. But thank the LORD for bitrefill, a lot of things I can just pay via bitcoin. If amazon sells it, I don't have to use $$$.

I tried Kvass for the first time today. I did not expect it to taste like it was 90% sugar and only enough malt to make it taste like it has maybe some malt. Just checked the label. Ingredient after water is cane sugar. I'm glad I didn't buy more than 2 of them. Alcohol free beer is tastier and less toxic to my kidneys than this. KURVA!

I'm something of a one-social-network kinda guy, and as twitter descended into the realm of the baphomet logo wearing cantillionare buying it for "free speech" I drifted to stacker.news But as happens to every social network, the communists, trolls and shitcoin shills are now starting to dominate the conversation and I've just got better things to do with my time than try to read retarded textual diarrhea from idiots. Nostr is a whole different thing. It's not a social group like centralised networks. You can actually find anything you want to look at, within the realms of the bitcoin/freedom tech space. The apps still have some way to come to provide good filtering and discovery, but I'm now drifting away from stacker.news - sorry koob and all the rest of you, but I guess also there has been a general drift into nostr by bitcoiners because it's just better, and it's barely near a year old and everything is buggy and that is awesome. I have no more time left in my life for centralised media, of any kind, no matter how well intentioned.

And it's done. Motorola G51 5G cattle tag is now neutralised and inside a Faraday cage, ready for its liquidation on Monday. Bloated battery Motorola Defy is now just a backup for my brave Sync and Xapo Bank wallet, nunchuk wallet, though I can't use my tapsigner due to retarded firmware, oh well, I'll use Bitcoin Core 🤣 . Steam guard is removed and a strong password in place. Phone number is even removed, though I still have a sim in it, in case I forgot something, but already anything that needed my old bulgarian or bosnian numbers, too bad, so sad. Worst case scenario I can turn it on and use it, but its hydrogen-inflated battery makes it a little unsafe to charge, and it's a heavy thing, the modern version of the brickie phone. My kindle account is on there so when I get a second hand one sometime soon, I don't even need this phone to spend gift cards, literally will primarily be to check my bank balance once in a while. I mean, not that I really care that much about kindle, but I'm never gonna forget they made Nineteen Eighty Four disappear from people's kindles. That is WAY too fascist for words. I'll try to get a kindle with no radio in it, if such a thing exists and still can be found. When these pigs are clearly catching our conversations on these devices, and probably listening in on my keyboard tapping too, and feeding the ad topics on the Samsung UHD TV downstairs that could only have come from bugging our conversations, I'm sorry, that's just a bridge too far. Getting rid of it altogether is not really an option at this point, but it's taped up, and when not in use, in a Faraday cage, and its only use case is accessing banks and the odd online account, and as an automatic backup for my browser data. It's really obvious that banks and their owners are doing their best to maintain as much population still carrying around phones they are all starting to hate, but this is the slimmest tether they have on me now and I'm ditching it altogether if I can do my grocery shopping with bitcoin->gift cards where I'm going next, which is most likely possible, either that or there will be some other way. There's bitcoiners where we are going so it should be aight. Phones are now on my shitlist, and I'm gonna like living without them.

I just realised the only 2fa my phone does any more is steam guard. The thing is in ok condition. I'm gonna ditch it. And my other one with a swelling battery, drop it at a charity shop. Literally just need to reorg my paper password backups. I am done with this phone shit. We know that they are listening in on them. Just yesterday we briefly talked about the price of gold, and my friend said that later, on YouTube, all these ads trying to sell him gold. Just the latest in an unending stream of ads appearing that only related to things not being put into the phone or search engine. Gonna get rid of this crap on Monday. Ah yeah, actually, maybe to trade in for a second hand ebook reader. I almost forgot I'd started reading regularly again. The phone is so heavy for this task. My fingertips are already overworked from typing. Holding the phone for hours is not ergonomic.
