GM Nostr. ☕ I saw the trump bot post the screenshot of Elon Musk's South Africa criticism, and I'm now reading about South Africa and the recent expropriation law passed. Idk bruh. I'm reading Atlas Shrugged right now. A law based on public interest sounds an awful lot like the laws that were passed in Atlas shrugged banning intellectual property in times of crisis, as it is in the interest of the public. AP says this law can only be used in "specific cases". But what does that mean. Where is the journalistic integrity here. Follow through, explain those use cases. Define the undefinable. What is of public interest that gives right to seize private property. Intellectual honesty would remove race from this debate. Yes I agree what was done to South Africans by colonials was horrendous. And this law seems to just be a boujee version of "an eye for an eye". Or worse. "A soul for my father's eye". No surprise it's one of the most violent countries in the world.

I find it's the closest people to you that are immune to good advice. Why. How can they be so gullible trusting "experts" but have no faith in people close to them. At this point don't even trust me... But don't trust some random ass guy on television / on your socials either.
