I knew in order to sell it i'd have to take a big financial bath in USD. However, if i sold the car and converted it to bitcoin it took a stagnant depreciating asset and turned it into a monetary rocketship. Right now the car i sold for a fire-sale price is up 118%. What seemed like taking a big financial bath at the time really was just unlocking the potential of the asset by converting it to bitcoin.

Galaxy Research projected ~14bn of ETF inflows year one. We're sitting at 53 billion total AUM right now in ETF's. Not sure this a completely proper analysis as it already factors in what was under management with GBTC but even so... Blackrock alone has taken in over 17 billion alone.
