It’s funny to me that normies, however we’re gonna define that term, look at Bitcoiners as cynical, critical haters when really we’re all just a bunch of peace-loving dreamers that want a better world

Watched Say Anything for the first time tonight. Bill it as a teenage romance, sure, but it’s unique among romances I’ve seen.

Fix the money, fix the world is such a powerful meme. I think you can bend it toward the concerns of whoever you’re speaking with. At one point in this stream, @LynAlden mentions that the “dark side” of Volcker’s interest rate hikes was that it flatlined Latin American oil consumption and constrained growth in those countries, which partially helped the US get back on track after the stagflation of the 70s. As someone who grew up with activist aunts who marched with Cesar Chavez and lived in Mexico, with a brother who lived in El Salvador and studied the civil war there, anecdotes like that that describe how a fiat monetary system allows for these kinds of imperial economic relationships to develop and be exploited are super useful when talking with people about the peace inherent in a fixed money supply. Thanks @walker @npub1fpew...vrkt and @LynAlden . Going to be returning to this one View quoted note →

I remember reading about Ross after his arrest in 2013. I was living an entirely different life then, but still interested in him and his story. It’s wild he’s been locked up all this time. I’m glad he’s out and looking forward to what he does from here when the time comes.

Learning things from James Webb’s book Born Fighting: “Intellectual analyses of national policy are subject to constant reevaluation by historians as the decades roll by, but duty is a constant, frozen in the context of the moment it is performed.” I feel like this is a sentiment that guides Darryl Cooper’s work with the Martyrmade podcast

Nice to look at Solana up whatever 15% in a day, think “huh, I wonder what that’s about,” then just go on ignoring shitcoins again
