I record people telling their life stories. Most of my clients are farm families. I have a podcast: The Ag Tribes Report

I know a lot of people on Nostr dislike RoundUp. I’d enjoy someone that knows a lot about why glyphosates bad to debate Folta image

If you want to make a difference around Bitcoin find a niche, a tribe that you belong to that doesn’t yet see the value of Bitcoin. Bring it to truckers, HVAC guys, sports betters, bankers… all ideas spread through tribes.

About 10 years ago I went to the Aspen institute conference and saw Al Gore speaking about climate change, he was yelling and totally insane- the crowd loved it - cheering for him. It was like an evangelical service. This was one of the red pills of my life, I knew without question that these people were worshiping Gia. View quoted note →

“dad let’s read the next story… what’s it called? The weird chicken?” “no it’s the ugly ducking.” “no way dad that’s mean!”

Fathers have a knowing smile between them; one part empathy one part jealousy. Little kids are hard, but the relationship is precious and fleeting.

my 1TB of storage on my Umbrel node is almost used up. Wondering if anyone has a large storage node they are happy with.

Boom! Just sold a Legacy Interview priced and paid for in Bitcoin. It took me 5 years- but today I did it.

Loved the bonus episode! I come from Monsanto where these documentaries were used to terrify people about how their food is being grown. Just mentioning Monsanto is enough to prove my point, this type of narrative creation is extremely potent. I have much to say about this but I’ll leave it at: there is always a funder of these docs, some group that stands to win if their target loses. A funny side note, when Monsanto wanted to hire me in 2014 HR put a red flag on me… because I had written articles in favor of Bitcoin, the “currency of criminals” View quoted note →

The massive tidal wave that no one is talking about is when bitcoin demonetizes agricultural land. The value of land is wildly overpriced relative to its utility value. Some day the most valuable collateral won’t be land it will be Bitcoin. This is coming

I had a colleague contact me yesterday who has fairly important audience saying “I agree the US shouldn’t go to war in Iran, it would be stolen valor, we didn’t earn the credit we’re going to get for toppling that terrible machine.” These people are insane- they forget every war in the past. War is hell.

The most dangerous force on earth is a human mob. More dangerous than nuclear weapons is the ability to propagandize ordinary citizens. People believe what they are convinced to shout, they hate who don’t join, and they will forget what they fought for the second the mob shifts.

I found the conversation with @Saifedean Ammous and @Lyn Alden to be frustrating. Lyn was directly challenging Saife’s position on how Tether will work as a straw in the dollar milkshake theory saying she didn’t think there were many bag holders left. This is a fascinating point of divergence but it was not explored at any level of depth.

I’m re-reading The Mandibles. This story was so prescient it is shocking.
