GM nostr โ˜• PV ๐Ÿ’œ Hey I previously was trying to think about what firearms I should own that would be beneficial if I ever needed to protect my home from drones or robots or something. But I have a fire hydrant in my front yard, should I just get a hose for it ๐Ÿ˜‚ #asknostr

I have been resisting the urge to really take the plunge on some of these AI tools for a little while now... some of that is personal preference because I already spend way too much time on a computer and I don't want more computer projects. But seeing how powerful these things can be in practice, its making me wonder a little bit if there is going to be a point in the future that these tools either get cucked or banned... like perhaps now could be the best time in past, present or future for us to make the things that will change the world. What do you guys think about the future of AI for the plebs / pioneers? #asknostr

Fuck. This is really going to put a dent in my plan to own my 2016 F150 for another 40 years. Maybe I'll need to start stacking parts for it now ๐Ÿ‘€

GM nostr I'm running a workshop today & tomorrow to get the ball rolling for a multi year initiative that, if successful, will help keep existing US nuclear plants open longer. This is probably my last shot at establishing new risk-informed applications for the operating fleet. ๐Ÿซก Goal: Leverage the basic concepts used in NEI 18-04 to extend the range of risk-informed applications that can be used to optimize the operation of the Generation II fleet. Focus: Establish a frequency-consequence framework acceptable for use in Generation II nuclear power plants that is based on the NEI 18-04 approach and define frequency-consequence thresholds that would allow for risk-informed applications for non-core damage sequences.
