Okay I ended up setting up a blusky account. It will probably just mirror my Mastodon account and Nostr since I'm using Openvibe to post.
For those curious on blusky, you can also follow me on Mastodon @odysseywestra@linuxrocks.online and on Nostr my NIP is odysseywestra@getalby.com

Oh.. btw I run arch ;)
Honestly, if it wasn't for the $600 price tag for this case, this would be a pretty sick setup. Just take it around with you for lan parties, cons, or LinuxFests in general.
So I will probably wait for a third party manufacturer to bring the cost down for this thing. I am probably better off just buying an MATX case that has a handle on top instead.
Love this parody song! I love my pork hips fried too.

yeah I was a thrift store kid too and even got into those tie-dye and paisley pattern shirts back in the late 90s too. Nowadays I still wear branded t-shirts but mostly now either gaming centric comic-con, or from you guys. Like I still have that patch ypur shit t-shirt from techstep Back when ya'll first started with Teespring.

Just recently I had a customer complaining about their internet turning off and on and that the LED light was fading away so I automatically assumed it was a bad PoE. I come on site and he tells me well the internet working now. That got me curious and I asked him to show me what he did. He ended up just moving the PoE from on the floor to on top of the router which is on their TV stand and the power supply started working again. So I crouched there for a bit, I swapped the PoE out and I put it on the ground and it turned off. So I put the old PoE back on and traced my hands back towards the outlet and realized that it just fell right out of the receptacle. I basically told him yo replace the receptical and he will get an electrician to do that. Luckily there was another outlet not too far so their internet stays on. I also recomended a UPS cause power out there is not stable. This all came to my mind as I heard Steve's story to check hardware first mentality. Saved my bacon for sure.

Okay using Warp Terminal with Lynx or w3m for searching websites is a great way to search product information. Sometimes store websites make it so convoluted to search for something. This make the process so much easier. Also using it with search engines like duckduckgo make that easier too since it can dive deeper. Can't say much in the ethics, but as a tool this us a great way to summarize info and dive deeper if I'm interested in it.

Hey, would it be possible for you guys to shout out the Sat streamers who've stream over 2000 sats? I don't know how feasible that is, but that world be cool. My opinion is that sat streaming will probably be more important for live streaming and podcasts. Especially music podcasts. I don't like picking one specific artist to boost. I like them all sometimes.

The interview that Gardner Bryant did with Kyle from the Bazzite did a good overview of the situation. In all actuality if it came to it, this might be a situation where if 32-bit is important for steam and game preservation, it should be up to Valve to provide a way for this. The steam client already uses containers runtimes for stabilization so this also could apply to 32-bit support. Valve can also maintain there own repository of 32-bit libraries that distributions can pull from instead too. Also 3rd party repositorys are a thing and I wouldn't put it past someone to maintain on for this very reason too.

The Legend of Dragoon was my first JRPG I've played as a child and completed. So color me surprised that there was a PC port project of the same game. It fully portable and all you need are ISO copies of the game and put it the right folder. I've already put 5 hours into the game on my steamdeck and no crashes. So check it out if you're interested cause unlike FFVII, this game probably won't get the remaster treatment.

Well I guess the linuxrocks.online mastodon server when down last night. I hope it was updates, but it got me thinking. I also have a nostr account the fact that my account is not on a singular instance, its shared across multiple ones. So this is a fundamental flaw with ActivityPub base servers. It doesn't have the resiliency that nostr has and that's why I'm starting to like it more.
It also tells me I am need to run my own private instance of mastodon too, but one problem at a time.
I have this odd hobby of collecting stickers from conventions and comic book stores and turning them into magnets. I even have a stack of them that I will just give away at cons if anyone asks. I just find it therapeutic. Though I'm going to need to get a new Whiteboard soon... I wonder if I would get enough sats to get another one? ๐
Idk, what hobby that you find odd, but enjoy doing?
