Bitcoin, Not Crypto
Anyone think we’ll have a walk off SacFly in Game 7 of the World Series?
Block 921555 is taking its sweet time!

Do you call $NVDA:
- nuh vidia
- en vidia
I always thought it was en vidia but I’ve heard podcasters say nuh. It just sounds weird that way.
@COLDCARD Q has a strange UX downgrade from Mk4
When I consolidate UTXO, Mk4 specifically says that the receive address is mine, but that Q does not indicate that the address belongs to this same wallet.
@npub12ctj...c5ky please fix it you can!
@DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 pretty please
@Wallet of Satoshi
What are the lightning fees for sending/receiving? I sent 2 sats, and the fee was 2 sats. The receiver (also me) observed that the LN fee was zero. It would be nice to know the fee before sending.

Are there other #GenX Bitcoiners on nostr? 👋
Did they declare peace with China or something?
What are the good news accounts on nostr? I don’t want to back to Twitter & im not going to MSM.
@DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞
The feature of the @npub12ctj...c5ky #ColdCard Mk3 (& Mk4) that I respected most was the scramble the numbers. We can’t have my 1111-1111 pin wearing out the 1 key, right?
I just received my #ColdCardQ & immediately turned on “Scramble Keys” under Login Settings.
Unfortunately I found the UX for decoding the number translation difficult to use.
1. It wasn’t immediately obvious that if I want the top number, I type the bottom number, but ok I’m trained now.
It is still more difficult to use than the Mk4.
2. I know which number I want, but the top row is in a random order so I must scan the row of 10 numbers before every key press.
Maybe it is the same with the Mk4 but somehow it feels more difficult.
I think it is because the numbers I know/want aren’t sorted numerically, but it could be because the data is laid out 10 wide rather than 3x3+1
I received my #ColdCardQ & started using it right away.
Unsolicited constructive feedback @NVK
Before I give out an address to receive, I always view it on the device.
I give @npub12ctj...c5ky points for trying to improve the UX of address display by splitting the letters up into chunks of 4 but for me it makes life harder.
Could you add a setting to display all in one string?
Want to really leverage the platform you’ve built?
Show me the full address, and let me type letters and highlight the places where the string I typed matches (or doesn’t) the address you’re showing me.
Here’s the use:
I temporarily memorize some sequence of letters near the middle/end. I type on the keyboard & the Q highlights them so I can quickly verify that the chunk is in the address. (Show a warning if the substring isn’t found)
Honest question about Lighting Network:
If I’m a net saver, where is the channel liquidity going to come from?
Say I’m being paid in BTC over LN, is the employer is going to keep splicing-in my weekly wages? What if they have dozens of employees? Are they doing splice tx for each employee’s channel every payday?
Are these FAQ where I should just RTFM? Where is TFM?
You’re at your regular supermarket, in the egg aisle.
A young man wearing an overnight-camping-style backpack walks past you toward the back of the store carrying only a handle of Jameson (1.75l).
He turns to look over his shoulder, perhaps to see who is watching.
You strongly suspect shoplifting is afoot.
What do you do?
- nothing
- mention it to a store employee
Does your answer change if the item he was carrying is more of a food staple? (Eggs, bread)
Venmo is down?
Bitcoin is up!
