Being reminded today that I was on Lake Atitlán a couple of Christmases ago… And a thought crossed my mind. If I’m ever with a wealthy Bitcoiner who enjoys grand romantic gestures, please don’t ever do fireworks for me 😅. Lake Atitlán spoiled that for me. Fireworks from morning to night every day in December, with an 8-hour+ Christmas finale into the early morning… smoke drifting straight into my apartment. In hindsight, I should’ve worn the mask I use during CA fire smoke season 😬 (about the only time I tolerate one). Consider me permanently off the fireworks appreciation list 🎇🚫 P.S. this is me riding a tuk tuk to my next Airbnb where I got stung by a scorpion in my bed in the dark that night. That lake and that year came with a lot of scorpion medicine. 🦂

So last month… really the beginning of 2025, though it’s been a slow unwinding… I decided it was time to create closure, for good, around a few matters that have been lingering in my field and affecting my well-being… things that need to be shut down. One of those is a severe dental injury from nine years ago, caused by a dentist who violated my agency, disturbing the structural integrity of my teeth and physically altering my appearance and identity without consent. A few weeks ago, in my work with my therapist, I had an incredibly powerful, uninhibited somatic experiencing of the rage I had been holding toward that violation… and continued working with it on my own in the days that followed as more energy moved through my body. It feels like it started an avalanche. It’s important work. And I feel good knowing that as an intuitive healer and guide who holds space for others in their processes, I also get to be supported through my own. #healing #reclaimingsovereignty

Someone called it a hero’s journey… and it keeps proving true. Only after recording and rewatching this did something click for me… that each of us can be a reason someone holds on to life. The past few weeks took me deep into an underworld. Dark enough to question whether there was anything left to hold onto.
