Man, we really had something cool going for a bit here. Too bad Whitepaper Books is on a hiatus. I have it on good authority that they're trying to find a way to reopen profitably and with less State licensing getting in the way

Freedom of association is all that matters. And it matters more than almost anything else.

For software developers, this is the sweet spot. Where AI-assisted software development is good enough to massively increase your productivity, but still retarded enough that your career-worth of judgement and experience is still required to get good results.
That second window will close before too long. The AI and Harness products will get good enough that a programmer is no longer needed. I think you'll still need **a human** for a while, but that human could probably be a Product Owner or highly motivated end-user vibing their own software. Not someone with a history of software development.
Overall, this will be a good thing for everyone, if it's done well. Bad for programmers, good for everyone else.
Plan accordingly.
so the AI companies' proposed solution to dangerous use of their product is for everyone to use their product more, defensively. got it.
i'm not even saying they're necessarily wrong, just.. weird times. everyone saw it coming, too.
