Steve is talking about how great the no-kyc experience is and how bitcoin-naive newcomers to nostr will have this experience of receiving money without kyc'ing - and he uses Primal as the example client.... ๐Ÿค” someone hasn't seen the Primal wallet setup ux that asks for your name and address (or doesn't realize normies aren't going to immediately think its okay to lie in that form)

Spitballing something extemporaneously here. let me know if I'm on the right track here or tell me i'm a moron: Bitcoiners' wealth is by definition sucked out of the fiat system. For each "dollar-denominated unit of value" that Bitcoin sucks in, it dissolves off the manipulation, inflation and lies, leaving some as-yet unknown remainder of "real value" in its own system. We collectively, as a species, will discover how much real value was harvested. This doesn't seem to square with the idea that you're "getting rich" as bitcoin's USD price appreciates. if "100 USD" is "actually worth 10 USD of 'real value'", then when you "buy $100 worth of bitcoin", you're only getting "$10 worth of value".... wut? Not quite. As the supply of fiat currency continues to inflate away, Bitcoin's price rises not only as a reflection of demand, but as a signal of value being preserved **outside** a manipulated system. Over time, this process will reveal how much true value Bitcoin has captured - well beyond the fluctuating USD price. View quoted note โ†’
