It seems like some people just enjoy stewing in negative sentiment for some reason. Maybe they haven't been around long enough to witness how being optimistic about Bitcoin is always fulfilled eventually. Maybe they're afraid of being wrong and defensively choose to be pessimistic today rather than risk be disappointed tomorrow. Well that's the whole point of "stay humble, stack sats, keep Bitcoin decentralized, secure and open" - as long as you do that you'll never be disappointed and you become free to enjoy the experience of living in optimism and positive sentiment. Stop choosing to be miserable, ya moron! Look around. Besides, living in pessimism isn't good for your health. 1/10, don't recommend.

of course i'm going to spend my sats, i don't have another choice - i don't hold dollars. even when a merchant sees me using a credit card, i'm paying the usd bill with bitcoin via Strike. but for everyone else, they can use cashapp to make lightning payments from their usd balance or linked debit card! Bitcoin is the new payment rail View quoted note →

At this point it kind of feels pointless to write about Bitcoin on nostr, but this morning I wanted to come up with a short and simple response for "how does fixing the money fix the world?", since it's such a massive claim and it touches a lot of dense topics. Thought maybe a simple answer could ironically be the best approach: --- In the fiat world, it's possible for some to gain from others' loss in a zero-sum manner; without producing any value or wealth for anyone else: Monetary manipulation, politically-directed lending, and privileged access. These effects compound the ill-gotten wealth of a few at the expense of everyone else. In the Bitcoin economy, you cannot gain purchasing power through privilege of birth or political connection - you must provide value to another in voluntary exchange, productive effort, or market activities. Bitcoin shifts interactions towards positive-sum at a global scale. This is the "fix" for the world of zero-sum extraction that fiat systemically guarantees. From debasing, manipulative and divisive to cooperative, productive and value-creating.

"tags" on nostr should probably **be** decentralized lists + WoT filters. ...thinking through this - will report back :)
