The rules of the Bitcoin protocol (or nostr, or any other open protocol) is a Finite Game within an Infinite Game. But "Bitcoin" (distinct from the rules of the protocol) is also itself an Infinite Game.
When you read this book and understand the difference, so much of our current situation becomes clearer and all of the beauty of it shines brighter. (Especially ideas adjacent to @Jeff Booth 's observations about the impossibility of measuring something from **within** a system that doesn't and cannot incorporate the target of your measurement.)

I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Kristy Halvorsen over the past couple days during her visit and event at the bookshop my wife runs. She's not a bitcoiner (yet... we discussed it a bit), and this is decidedly not a bitcoin book; but to the extent that we're all under the same "Fix the [blank], fix the world" tent, Kristy's Ways of Living and shared lessons are valuable additions to the free+virtuous civilization project - as welcome and necessary as any bitcoin or freedom tech book.
In telling her story of **seven years** traveling solo and living off-grid in a nomadic adventure around the continent she gets into: freedom, sovereignty, independence/interdependence, virtue, scarcity, relationships, the broken cycle of mainstream society and its drones, and which sections of the grocery store are poisoned vs non-poisoned :)

I can't recommend it highly enough. A true life-changer.
