If you're against removing capital gains tax on Bitcoin because of its potential to cause a sell-off, you've completely lost the plot.
I remember when they would call you a lunatic for saying this kind of tracking was possible.
Now it’s in commercial products as a feature.
If you can't exit unilaterally, it's not self-custody.
Self-custody means you can restore your funds on-chain, anytime—no permission, no middlemen.
You can not expect any real change while the money is broken. Until we fix it, the policy is managed decline, indefinitely.
The thing about running a custodial service is that if it sees significant usage you can never wind it down and disperse funds 100%.
No matter how much time or how many notices that you give users, there will always be someone that misses or disregards them entirely.
