Due to the rising cost of Bitcoin transactions, we've added larger multipliers on channel open/close pricing. With a 4x multiplier, you can charge double the high priority transaction fee to both open a channel and close it later. This favors larger channels at lower prices.

Over the past year, the lightning network capacity has remained almost completely flat IN BITCOIN TERMS. When viewed in USD terms, the lightning network capacity has grown by 149% or 2.5x. Not bad at all.
