This needs more thought … because I’ve experienced people who do this in graduate school, in the workplace after grad school, and inexplicably, from neighborhood people walking their dogs. It’s like, why?! The first two settings I can somewhat understand because money is involved, and therefore, workplace politics. May 9 - Daffodil “水仙花” 水 water 仙 immortal 花 flower #NostrartstrMay2025 #watercolor April of 2021 I had been staying at my parents’ house during the pandemic, and was adjusting to that and remote working. At some point, I made a discovery about Daffodils. My mom had made a small brick path in the backyard in the shape of an ampersand ‘&’, and in the middle of one of the loops, daffodils were growing. I thought they looked cramped and decided to transplant them. When digging them up, I discovered hundreds of bulbs of all sizes. Looking it up, I learned that daffodils propagate in that way. By creating more bulbs from what was originally planted.

Hooray for Bitcoin helping to make the lives of moms and their kids be easier. Working night shifts, sometimes two jobs. Immigration and not being able to take money with you to the new country. May 8 - Early Crocus Name meaning: Saffron or Turmeric yellow #NostrartstrMay2025 #watercolor #gouache ‘Crocus’ is a very old name. I like the shape of it, and how the center looks like it glows. The gradient ombré effect of the inner petals was hard to do with watercolor, so I switched to white gouache. I like how each flower is helping me to practice some 基本功 (basic skills, fundamentals) of watercolor.
