Heard on twitter: "That sound you hear is the assembling of an army of copyright lawyers, the largest the world has ever seen, who have been in cryosleep since the Napster lawsuits and have just now been reawakened for one last job: AI art" 🤣
Two things that first attracted me to the "LN Symmetry" (eltoo) style of Lightning channels:
1) Symmetric channel updates are less complex to think about; once you start layering on all the other complexities and edge conditions a simple base makes a big difference.
2) Potentially much lower bandwidth and communication round trips to update a channel. This isn't important over high speed internet, but if you ever want to use low-bandwidth radio it does.
It is ingenious how Bitcoin's price changes the cost of production every difficulty period, but not the rate of new supply.
Gold may also become marginally more expensive to produce as demand increases, but the rate of new supply will still always reflect demand.🤯
Bitcoin's price has a constant, and steadily decreasing, influence from new supply being created.
TikTok should be banned.. at home, by schools and on the personal devices of anyone aware of the psyop capabilities and intentions of the CCP.
No law is necessary or should be used to ban any app or other sources of information. That's pure totalitarian thinking worse than TikTok itself.
eg.
Check out the Kevin Rooke podcast with Nick Slaney from Block who is working on their ⚡ LSP called C= . They go into some interesting details and vision for the project.
This is an interesting idea from #[0], is anyone working on this?
"Idea: let‘s build *amazing* bitcoin native products for:
* invoicing
* accounting
* corp treasury
* governance
* crm
…
Apps that are self-custody by default and that make it *easier* for companies to use bitcoin than banks. What are the challenges to overcome?"
The future of Lightning ⚡ is looking very bright. Check out this podcast where Greg gets into the current state of anyprevout/BIP-118, eltoo (aka LN Symmetry) and V3 transactions policy that should elegantly fix pinning for layer 2 protocols.
