Interesting table with respect to lightning adoption and Visa/Mastercard. It keeps getting easier to live off of bitcoin via lightning if you're okay with using one or more of these companies as a middleman.

Usually, Japan's government steps in about now to lower this number, mainly by selling US treasuries. But I think their "outflow" of US treasuries has exceeded their "income" of the same for a while now. I wonder if they can keep it up, or if they have to let inflation run hotter

Interesting news from the mining world: https://stacker.news/items/1474239
How it started:
"Lol only 0.2% of hashrate is available for rent, the bip110 people can't possibly rent enough to punch this through"
How it's going:
Due to unprecedented demand, hashrate markets are expanding the amount of hashrate available for rent

3 mining pools are signaling for BIP110 now:
- 234 Alberta |199 petahash |
- Barefoot Mining | 108 petahash |
- Pyblock | 3 petahash |
Total: 310 petahash | .0304% of network hashrate

Red Blocks

Things are heating up. Blocks 1038 and 1250 in this epoch both signal for BIP110

Red Blocks

If you're into macrofinance, this is interesting: $1 of USD has been worth over 160 JPY for over 24 hours. Usually, the Japanese government treats the 160 mark as a "red line," and within a few hours, they intervene by selling loads of USD. This time maybe they aren't doing that?

A bip110 block was mined yesterday and few seemed to notice

How Burak explained Ark to me
The average number of contracts processed per day on robosats, since its inception in 2022, is 15. Today they processed 137 contracts. Robosats is running hot today.

If you ever feel like your product or service would lose users by providing them with the truth (informed consent), stop and reflect. Honesty is only in conflict with adoption among scammers. If you ever feel that tension, sacrifice adoption, and keep being honest.
We just entered a new signaling window for bip110
There are zero pro-bip110 blocks in this window so far

A layer two (aka "second layer") is a service where users can send their bitcoins and then transact on the service with reduced impact on bitcoin's blockchain, where users can withdraw their bitcoins by getting one or more bitcoin transactions confirmed. It is not a second layer if, without changing bitcoin's consensus rules or using a 51% mining attack, a group of one or more third parties, and/or the service itself, can render any user's ability to withdraw invalid.
