I tried to watch "Akira", but it was too long, too confusing ,and too boring frankly. The animation is gorgeous, and I'm assuming it was hand drawn which is all the more impressive in todays world, but that doesn't make up for a bad story that drags on. I mean, I found myself just skipping entire scenes, and it made no difference to the narrative, that tells you something;this film could have been shorter.
