A new khatru nostr relay for temporary events — age-based retention, kind allowlist, NIP-40 (event expiration) + NIP-70 ("-" do not distribute). "I have bridged a chat message from another ecosystem and it needs to be gone within 3 hours with as good a guarantee as Nostr can offer." Thanks @utxo the webmaster 🧑‍💻 for inspiring me to cut my teeth on relays, and @fiatjaf for khatru which my clanker just loves. Very open to ideas and feedback if this can be improved for its purpose! @inpc we're underway.

The world suddenly so full of amazing things to build. You always dream faster than you can build. All this extra capability hasn't solved that, it has just increased the size of the dreaming!

Now that's over can we please return to more important disagreements? Like whether stainless steel or cast iron pans are better. . The correct answer is stainless steel by the way.

Hi @Fountain @Oscar Merry nice to meet you, this is Rod from @Shosho – Live Stream on Nostr we are sending a few live streams your way, and have a few podcaster customers in common. It would be good to catch up properly some time. For now a minor interesting one. Your relay wss://relay.fountain.fm does not seem to respect delete requests for 30311 events. It will ACK yes, but then not actually delete. For all other events (1311's and the like), it will ACK yes and delete correctly. It is only lives that are undeletable. This has caught out a couple of Shosho live streamers who publish to your relay. I don't know if it's intentional. I thought I should let you know. If it's intentional, please LMK and I will change our default sets to exclude Fountain. Thanks and keep up the good work!

It's been such a mind-expanding 15 months. May last year, I didn't know if I was crazy but I wondered if it was possible to start a tech company without a tech cofounder. My experience at my last startup was an eye opener. 50% of equity to a technical lead to get started, another 25% to get the first funding to hire a technical team, and that got me underway but holding <33% of my own company. By the time I listed it, <15%. By the time I stepped back from it <7%. And over the course of all that time, the biggest share of the capital raised was for technical development. So – "Can you start a tech company without technologists now?" was a crazy question. Impossible, clearly. Except, you know, maybe worth a shot? Claude Code was not yet generally available. Even the term "slop" hadn't been created yet. But here we are. Just 15 months later and for a total of ~$100K. Shosho is V1 and *everyone* knows that not only is it possible, it's just the way things are now. The mind expanding part. Yes – It's crazy that this can be done at all BUT – IMO the crazier thing is the second order effects, and I think we're still working them out. E.g. a customer asks for something, and instead of making a note, tabling at the next meeting, putting in the backlog, arguing it through backlog grooming into sprint planning, and only then it even gets looked at – How fast were your companies before? That's a multi-week process almost everywhere – instead you forward the customer's message to your agent harness from your phone while on a walk and say "I'm AFK, address this and raise a PR, I'll check it tomorrow." Time on the desk until something is POC can be literally 0. Or, take it further, a customer needs something, and the *customer builds it themselves*. ... In summary in 15 months we've gone from new tech creation being something that cost $M of capital and >50% of equity in every new venture, to something that costs ~$000k's, is now on the way to $0, and THEN is on the way to being something that customers do for themselves without needing tech companies at all. It's a "sovereign-individual" sounding future, and IMO it's just get started. </rant> TLDR: - Just 15 months ago the idea of building a top tier-like streaming product for Nostr would require capital formation and $M, and years, now 15 months and ~$100K. - Last year, the idea that it could go to $0 and be done by the customers themselves was crazy, but now everyone knows it's coming. - What happens next is very "sovereign-individual" and I'm glad we're all here for it.
