There’s no such thing as taste in style. It is merely a pattern that is not known to all. ChatGPT already has “taste” in image creation so does every other image generator. This feels more developed due to the types of data it had. Some “taste” is just lack of data, but with a large enough dataset all taste breaks into patterns.
The same goes for intuition and just about all process you can imagine that only a human can execute. Which is false.

There is a shortage of most real labor in Japan, yet the people in those jobs make dogshit salaries. I don’t get it… you’d think with high demand and low supply you’d be able to charge a premium? My guess is consumer expectations drive a lot of the pricing and a person can only afford what they can afford before reconsidering if they need the thing.
Entire product design industry is in decline now. Most teams have figured out they can get by with generic shadcn ui dashboards and flows. Agents can now clone entire websites, products in a prompt. It was a fun journey but it’s coming to an end, like so many other fields.
We’re so close to well designed apps in a prompt… I can feel it! Just a few more steps and we’re there. And if you have to ask aren’t we already there, the answer is no. But, soon!
