I think the best approach is to have a critical mind towards whatever is being presented to you, read up of what fascinates you, especially things that are taboo (flat earth, world wars, who controls the money, what aren't you allowed to question, etc) and try to debunk the conspiracies surrounding them while following your intuition on what brings you further to the truth. However, it's important to learn to keep your energy to yourself by not getting emotionally involved. Not in a nihilistic or autist way. Observe, don't judge.
No matter if you're looking at it from a spiritual, materialist/physics/rationality or simulation perspective: It's obvious they're investing a lot of time and money in what you get to see to manipulate your emotions and instill fear and uncertainty. It's the same with lots of alt media on all sides. Few take the time to actually collect and study all available information, do research and share results without trying to get you into a certain emotional stage.
Every emotion is a flow of energy. If they can create negative energy within millions or billions of people at will, they'll remain at the helm. Don't let them - by learning to breathe through fear. Meditate, do yoga/stretches. A few minutes per day. This will help clear your mind of the constant attention grabbing nonsense being pushed everywhere. Some cardio is helpful as well. No need to overdo it. You'll notice wanting to do more if you're ready for it. That'll prepare you mentally and physically to be more mindful about what you direct your energy at.
Just something I had to learn and could've grasped a lot sooner if I hadn't been stuck with what I assumed to be the way the world works.
