Launched 9 hours ago, and my new #bitcoin node is 41.82% synced 😲 I remember I needed days, maybe a week with my Raspberry Pi!

I installed 3 node software today: Start9, Mynode, and Umbrel. And none of them allow the use of an external drive for bitcoin 🤔 Actually, maybe they do with the command line, but nothing supported out of the box. It seems when you use a PC instead of a Raspberry Pi, things get harder. But I need to use an external drive... Any recommendations? #AskNostr #BitcoinDIY

Little by little, I'm moving away from big corps. When switching from Evernote to Notesnook, it was 100% painless. I'd say I even got a better product. But it's not always the case... I'm now trying to switch from: - Spotify to Fountain for podcasts - ChatGPT to Venice for AI (mostly for work) And I'm having a hard time. Fountain isn't bad, but sevral small things make the transition painful. It's not much, but I have to force myself not to get back to Spotify. Venice is another story. I paid for 1 year. And it's so limited. Many things I can't achieve with that platform. And when I can, it required more steps to get there. Basically, I HAVE TO use ChatGPT for my requirements...

I had my wife on the phone earlier. She told me her eye was swollen. And she had an inflation. Of course, I recommended having some #bitcoin - then I told her she should clean her eye to get rid of the infection... My wife isn't a native English speaker. But I think it's thanks to me she now sees inflation everywhere 😅
