I mentioned the other day that I need more laughter in my life. Well, today my daughter asked me how many push-ups I could do. I confidently said, “Maybe five.” Turns out I couldn’t even get back up after the first one 😂🙈 At least we had a really good laugh. Looks like I could use a bit more training! 🤍

Unsere Abiturienten bekommen heute ihr Zeugnis. Ein großer Tag nach all der Anstrengung. Ich kann mich noch an diesen Tag vor 22 Jahren erinnern, als ich mein Zeugnis in den Händen hielt und endlich die Schule hinter mir lassen konnte (um sie ironischerweise einige Jahre später wieder zu betreten 🙈). Ich war nicht von der Sorte, der alles zufiel und hatte einiges tun müssen, um ein gutes Abitur zu machen. Ich schaute dem Tag der Zeugnisausgabe entgegen in der Erwartung, danach große Erleichterung zu spüren. Aber wie das oft so ist mit Erwartungen, blieb die Erleichterung aus. Da war einfach nur Leere. Ein Berg der erklommen war, um sich für den nächsten vorzubereiten 🤍 #school #abi2026 #abi2004

Three of the five swallow chicks nesting in our shed fell out of the nest and died. To try to prevent the remaining two from suffering the same fate, I screwed a small board underneath the nest. I have no idea whether it will help, but I really hope it does 🤍 #birdstr
