Fastest #OpenSource sovereign #DevOps individual on Nostr π¨
I'd like to receive alerts if my #BitAxe stops mining. Has anyone looked into this @TheSoloMiningCo (IAmGPIO) @Solosatoshi.com πΊπΈ?
I think the most basic way to do it would be to trigger an alert to be sent to an email address if, for example, "hash rate = 0"
Today I learned it's possible to add a hostname to the #QubesOS firewall and my life became much simpler because of it π€
Kindles have become nearly unusable.
Are there any #openspurce e-reader devices worth trying?
First it was the institutions that would save crypto, now it's the government and crypto ballers.
So now crypto's being split into the crypto ball attendees and everyone else...
Completing a fully verified #qubesos install on a sub-$350 i5 32GB RAM 2TB NVMe laptop leaves me feeling energized, empowered and liberated π¦Ύ
Can someone explain how to connect to a #bitaxe via #tailscale? I imagine it's through an #openwrt router.
However I can't get my head around the config. I can see how to get to the router via Tailscale, however am not understanding how to get through the router to the Bitaxe UI.
Maybe port forwarding through the router?
Thought I would #AskNostr for perspectives on ParrotOS vs. Kali Linux. Use case is to start exploring pen testing by someone who has a strong #devops background and is already comfortable using #QubesOS as a daily driver.
I have a hard time threading the needle on old Lenovo Thinkpads to run #QubesOS on. As a result I have two P51s and a T430 to repurpose.
Stubborn as I am, I ordered a T480 to try again. Fingers crossed the firmware is right π€π½
Maybe I should just go ahead and buy a Nova Custom and be done with it...
But where's the challenge in that π
Does anyone have experience using #headscale which I understand to be an open source alternative to the #Tailscale controller?
If so, is it stable enough to use as a Tailscale replacement?
Not many things say "We think we understand online security but we really don't" than forcing users to opt-in to SMS-based 2FA.
I feel like I'm the only one who has issues getting #syncthing to work predictablly and consistently.
Seems like dropping the capital gains tax on crypto in the US could be a good way to convince a good number holders to sell and give institutions an opportunity to gain control of supply, before prices rise even higher.
CAPTCHAs are out of control.
Does anyone have a #bitaxe running that uses a permanent #vpn IP address?
Assuming one with a #devops background would like to support Nostr by running infrastructure, what's the best way to do that?
If step 1 is running a relay, what would steps 2 and 3 be?
