That means your purchase supports open-source, game-changing innovation in Bitcoin mining. Look for the OSMU logo near the fan on your Bitaxe—it's your sign that you’ve bought from the official Bitaxe Legit supplier network, and helped fuel the next wave of powerful, open-source projects. image
BTCPay Server is a beautifully designed piece of software. Running it self-hosted on my own node feels exactly like payment processing should be: sovereign and secure. #BTCPayServer #Bitcoin #SelfHosted #BTCPay image
Custom heatsink (machined by yours truly) that Sidehack of GekkoScience and I have been working on, coming very soon for the Bitaxe. image It features serrations to increase the surface area, with a 4mm-thick base that's CNC machined flat to create a 100% flat datum surface for optimum mating to the processor. We've included four M3 screw holes around the perimeter to ensure perfect contact with the ASIC's face. We've milled some billet CNC units for testing and are comparing thermal dissipation between black and silver finishes. I’m really hoping the black ones perform well because they look fantastic. As many of you know, aesthetics are a big deal for me! The CNC-milled version has been calibrated to have the same volume as the serrated and extruded version (render shown). If the CNC-milled version (pics shown) performs well, the extruded, serrated version can only perform better! The stock unit (the gold one everyone’s familiar with) has an approximate volume of 7,976.5 mm³ and a surface area of 13,739 mm². The new serrated and extruded version has a volume of 18,418 mm³ and a surface area of 24,200 mm². There is approximately 73% more aluminum in the new heatsink to dissipate heat, and approximately 31.4% more surface area to aid in cooling. We're feeling really optimistic about this!
