As the council continues to dump lawn clippings into the creek the algae blooms are getting worse. Lots of slimy biofilm and algae amongst the floating lawn clippings. Nature doing everything she can to balance things out but the council just keeps dumping fresh cut lawn clippings. Before the biofilm took over and in other parts with less of it, it smell like straight up sewage. Just rotting grass clippings all through the creek. If you walk on the sand where the water is shallow you will seem methane bubbles coming up through the sand where grass clippings have been buried under the sand. I've sent the council lots of educational information about how to properly manage waterways and made so many complaints about this but they don't care. A lot of other people have also complained because literally smells like untreated sewage. There's a rumour that the council are intentionally trying to kill off the wildlife, the platypus and water rats mainly. There wasn't a single yabby caught in the creek all summer, the only fish anyone talked about catching were catfish, probably the only thing that can tolerate how putrid the water has gotten.

Anyone else have #dreams like this? Sometimes it's a waterslide, sometimes it's a bmx jump off a cliff. I have this kind of dream a lot.
